Bio-SMART & INCOM Project Meeting
September 18,
2013, 9:00 – 17:00, KWR Offices

Proposed Agenda

8:30 Coffee
9:00 Welcome Prof. Gertjan Medema (KWR)
9:15 Introduction – Meeting objectives Prof. Ilan Juran (W-SMART)

1. WP1 – Interactive Framework for End-Users’ Priority Objectives & Technical Requirements
This task requires an interactive framework based upon use case analysis, identifying performance matrix and datasets provided by the utilities. In the last project Meeting, May 13, the current State-of-Practice consisting of non-specific on-line monitoring for early bio-anomaly detection was presented by the utilities with data analysis examples in order to create a concrete framework for identifying the operator processes, datasets and requirements for the Bio-SMART system adaptation/prototyping, including:

  • VIGIRESEAU recommended approach presented by Dr. Daniel Villessot (LDE),
  • EDP Active Chlorine Monitoring presented by Bruno Nguyen (EDP)
  • VIP Multi-parameter (TOC; Conductivity; Optica sensors; other) Monitoring presented by Dr. Bendert de Graaf (VITENS)

The operators have agreed to provide the Research Teams access to relevant datasets with data analysis examples of use cases for assessment of the data attributes, basic pre-processing and early configuration of current processes, early detection systems and data quality control procedures. Current effort focused primarily on early configuration of EDP leak detection process as SWN application – EDP, CEA LIST, CALM WATER, W-SMART. Discussion agenda includes:

9:30 System Technical Requirements & Performance matrix
Bruno Nguyen (EDP)
9:45 INCOM System Requirements Frank Montiel (EDP)
